Speedo TPM

Post by MColes »

I've been thinking for a while that my car seems to go a bit better than most standard minors :D

The log book says its a 1098 engine in the car and that all seems to add up with what engine is in the car.

I noticed a while ago (but forgot to ask on here ) that theTPM on the speedo is 1376. Does this mean the diff has been changed as the speedo is dead on with 155x14?

If so anyone any ideas what diff could be in it now?

I guess it has a Mini speedo - and it just happens to fit nicely with the tyres you have and the 4.22 standard diff. The speedo with that car/engine would have been 1408 tpm originally - and generally they were a a few (!) mph fast on the 5.20 x14 tyres. If you have checked yours against a GPS and it's dead right - be happy!

Fair enough :D

Was just wondering why it goes so well, if anything had been done to it. It don't half shift..for a minor anyway
