Windscreens

Post by Blodwin »

I have 4 spare windscreens and as I was cleaning them in order to find a good one for the next project I find that 2 are 0.250" thick and the other 2 are 0.195" thick. Can anyone tell me why this is as they were all taken from MM,s of one type or another. :-?

Triplex toughened windscreens were used after October '63 so perhaps the thinner ones are from earlier cars?

Laminated screens are indeed likely to be thicker - and are extremely hard to fit without cracking - be warned!
