I drove up from Pembrokeshire to Dolgellau on Monday. On the way back, I saw five minors... five! Two of them were old friends I always see parked up on that route - grey Saloon LVS 729 just south of Aberystwyth, and grey Traveller 310 BLX near Pentregat - but three were new to me: a green convertible with a red hood, HTA 942D, a grey saloon, EAD 620C, and a green saloon HEJ 951G. Anyone want to lay claim to any of those?
More to the point - outwith the journey to or from a Rally, is five Morris Minors in one journey up a non-motorway road a record?
Is this a record?

Might be a contender, if you don't include Minor events.

Apparently, they are brilliant - haven't tried them out myself, yet, because Gary the engineer hasn't quite finished with Betsy, and she isn't MOT'd yet and is still SORN.... hopefully within the next couple of weeks I'll be able to report on them - and other things!bmcecosse wrote:And - how are the big brakes ??????????????

What a weekend!
Yesterday - to and from Dolgellau again - within ten minutes of each other, going in the same direction: OBO 636G, a white saloon, and VJU 872H, a green soft-top.
Today, on the way to Pembroke Dock, a grey saloon, UMX 218F, and a grey Traveller, DBX 652C.
They seem to be coming out of the woodwork in Pembrokeshire at the moment!

Its near Pentregat, on the A470 just south of Aberystwyth, parked outside a house on tight corner. Someone has painted flowers on some of the panels. Was that you?

Re: Is this a record?
Ah, you didn't spot me in my tatty maroon Traveller then!
200 mile drive from Reading to a bit north of Aberystwyth and I only saw two other Minors, one black MM somewhere north of Abergavenny and a pale blue saloon on the road between Mach and Dolgellau on Sunday - I was in my friends Polo so didn't wave.
It's a while since I'd visited Wales and I was quite impressed how the car coped with the hills. I was expecting to be the slowest thing on the road but not so!
