Hi Pete, welcome to the messageboard. If you're not sure how to post a photo the details are here: http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=31197 Or maybe you could start your own thread in the restorations project forum so that we can see the work progressing as you go along? :D

Thanks all for the welcome! Work is slow on my project and pics dont really show much but will see what I can organise for you.Unlike the rust issues you suffer there, mine is not to bad,had to form and fit a new passenger side chassis rail and a few bits behind the guards when they were removed and a little under the sill panels but that all good now.I will post anything else regards progress etc in the projects thread and keep you advised from time to time.Regards Pete.

Well, I finally went and done it. After years of debating, should I, shouldn't I..................

I totally ignored the wife, and the overtones from my mechanic father (they have no brakes son, I mean, there are NO brakes!) and purchased a 1964 Morris 1000 :D

At the moment it is almond green, a pretty rough spray job is hiding a load o filler

I plan on using Ollie (wife picked the name) every day I can. I have already fallen in love with the need to concentrate and think ahead approach to driving. Oh, some of you may always be like that, but when I'm driving my modern car, i always have something to distract me :P

I have already benefited from your technical message board as the battery went flat on me yesterday. So new bushes for the dynamo have been purchased aff ebay.

Boy, it is fun to drive though, and more than an ample substitute for the motorbike :D

cheers

And - if kept in good condition - it DOES have brakes ! They are only useless if neglected. Welcome to the forum.

Hi Archie and welcome, I assume its just a typo and that you meant new brushes.
Cheers

Nope, I'm just thick

You say tomato, I say........cucumber.

Oh no! Hope I haven't just bought two privet hedges off ebay! That won't fix my dynamo :(

No, but on the plus side they will help to disguise your less than perfect paint job

Welcome to the messageboard Archie. Any problems just ask - someone on here will know the answer :D
