been to the coast today on the way back the car was juddering when i had to use first gear. this hasnt happened before. whats the problem guys??? also had a problem with the car nearly dieing then picking up it was bloody hot here so could it be fuel stavation ? your help much needed please
Juddering would more likely be the release bearing rather than the clutch plate itself unless you were loosing oil out of the rear scroll and contaminating the clutch plate. Other things to check are engine and gearbox mounts and the engine steady bar. Spluttering / dying in this weather is most certainly fuel vaporisation. You can relocate the pump away from heat or wrap exhaust in heat insulating tape or change to engine driven pump or a combination of all three....

You ned to explain when it's judders - is it as you take up the drive - or as you are moving along in 1st gear ? The answer to the fuel pump stutters is to drop the pump down to the engine bay floor - and remove any fuel filter fitted in the suction line!

yes it judders when i take up drive. i have no fuel filter fitted in the fuel line.
Well - as others have said - judder then can be mounts gone soft/steady bar broken loose - or oil on the clutch. Check the mounts first - but also look under to see if there is any oil dripping from the split-pin hole in the base of the gearbox bellhousing.
