Hi Kenny as this started to go a bit of topic I have split it from the main one and given it a new title.
As for you question yes it is and the bit of info I have says.
RAF Station Merryfield (also known as Isle Abbotts) is a former World War II airfield in Somerset, today the airfield is an active military installation with restricted access.
Cheers

I dont really think there is a need to seperate the older and younger members into two clubs... partly because where would the middle aged ones go and mostly because i like the mix at the shows, all i would say is ...

We take our trade stand to many classic car events, the better ones are where there are things to do for the whole family, you get alot more people there that are non club members and alot of interest...

This can be done in a few ways,

1, maybe arrange for the annual shows to be the base for the show, but on the months building up to the show maybe ask in the magazine and on the forums if people would be up for a drive out, say to a pub or the coast or what ever is say within 15 miles of the show ground... it would be a good way of club members getting to know each other and also gives you something to do. Not everyone has to do it but youd know numbers before the day :D

2, have attractions at the show ground, enquire with what ever fun fairs are on the road at the time, arrange the shows to be places like silverstone (like the mg midget show this year) this means there is already things for different groups to do. Just got back from Goodwood festival of speed and will be taking the tradestand back there to the goodwood revival, its a similar place but lots to do.

Just some ideas, we have a year until the next one, if the organisers need help with anything club members should put their names forward, lets make MM Annual shows bigger and better each year!

Rob

I tried being a retired owner, but found:
1) I had even less time for the cars
2) I didn't have the money to run a large collection

so I'm now a working middle aged owner again ;-)
