Rocker cover paint & badges

Post by yellowpinky »

I am going to paint the rocker cover on my engine. I have the correct green engine paint, but I wondered if it would be a good idea to use zinc primer underneath? Good for rust but is it designed to stand high temperatures like the green stuff?

Also, I'm going to fit new 'Morris' & 'Patents' badges. It would be handy to know which way around they were mounted originally?

I wouldn't bother with primer - just make sure it's well degreased. I'm not sure there is 'right way round' - someone will know!

You might have to zoom in due to the small size of pics on the site.....

I was going to suggest that way - but I'm not sure it was universally that way. Certainly - the labels should not be upside down!!

Hi from Australia

I replaced these badges as they were from original before the restoration.

Hope this has helped.[frame]Image[/frame]
