indicator stalk and column
well i have change the indicator stalk for a brand new one and i put it on the column where the self canceller nut is and the horn starts going of and wont stop but when you take it of the self canceller nut it stops but when you turn the steering wheel the horn comes on again all the wires are wired up correct so i think its the column
can anyone help
can anyone help
Re: indicator stalk and column
Is the new indicator stalk the exact same as the one you are taking off ?

Re: indicator stalk and column
Your indicator stalk was originally fitted to the left of the steering wheel rather than the right due to disability modifications. Have you fitted the new indicator unit in the same place or have you tried to move it as this could be causing the problems.

Re: indicator stalk and column
the indicator stalk is the exact same as i am taking of but the only thing i have done was turn the column round so that the indicator stalk is on the right hand side but it keeps shorting out on the self canceller nut and making the horn go off.

Well that's probably what's causing the problem! Has the column itself been modified or adapted in some way? If so, just turning it round won't mean that the indicator will automatically work on the opposite side. You might have to change the column over, but why do you want to move the indicator anyway?

Re: indicator stalk and column
Check your wiring route as you seem to have wires shorting together somewhere.
