front and rear wings ?
this may sound very stupid but as a complete newbie when it comes to restoration can you fit wings from a 2dr to a 4dr or are they completely different ??
Re: front and rear wings ?
All saloon wings the same, only Travellers had different rear wings, but still the same fronts.....

Re: front and rear wings ?
Well - you may find the fibreglass ones are an 'affordable' alternative - and they won't rust!

Re: front and rear wings ?
I have seen some nice pics of the jlh wings thank you for the link..bmcecosse wrote:So - in fact - there are 3 different rear wings and 2 different fronts! And that's not counting the various fibreglass wings available from Jon at JLH
umh! really down to personal choice.. glass fibre wings are cheaper and if you intend to keep the car long term and you are happy with glass fibre go for it.. however if you think you might sell the car in the near future I would say fit steel wings.. it will give the buyer one less thing to haggle you down on price.lippychick wrote:but which are the better option ?
Re: front and rear wings ?
But good second-hand steel wings are hard to find - simply because 'everyone' is trying to find them! But it is very much personal choice.

Re: front and rear wings ?
A good quality fibreglass wing from the likes of JLH is a sensible option. When you consider the sometimes questionable quality of some new steel wings on offer I know what I'd fit.
