Hi,
Ive got the crankshaft and bearings, oilpump and timing chain kit, a bottom end gasket set and new pistons & rings, and Tim has offered a cylinder head so i think its lift off time. Where do I start the rebuild!?
The block was dipped in a bath at the rebore so do we blow it out with an airline? Ive got a workshop manual to follow but help from folks that have been here before would be a big help, I should also have some time which is handy.

Yes - clean out all the oil ways - and have a supply of clean engine oil handy! First install the crankshaft - and check it turns as you tighten up the mains caps - finally torquing them to the figure in the Manual. Note the centre one must go on 'tab to tab' - you can't go wrong with the others. Be sure to put the thrust bearings in right way round (stick them in place with grease) - wrong way ruins crank and block in about 10 seconds.........
