How are these removed please, mine dont seem to have nuts holding them unless there is so much underseal its hiding them.
Also any tips on freeing the nuts holding the rear wings on?

2BA nuts on the back of the light clusters but you'll have to clear the gunk away to find them. The rear wing bolts can be got at with some plus gas etc from inside the boot and behind the rear quarter panel - this might help free them off before you take a spanner to them. Take cae you don't wreck the captive nuts in doing so....

I wouldn't rush to remove a wing - unless you are prepared to deal with what you may find underneath......... Certainly you can plan ahead - take out one bolt at a time - coat with copper slip - and refit. Once you have them all free - it will be easy when you are ready to pop that wing off!

Get every bit of underseal, rust and dirt from around the bolt heads and use an impact socket, if you can find one, to undo them.
Soaking the bolt heads with Plusgas will help too.
Start dosing it all with penetrating oil tomorrow, even if you don't plan on removing the wing for a while.

You should be getting the idea now - that this is not an easy task - not to be undertaken lightly. Have to ask - why are you taking it off ???

Re: Rear Indicater cluster removal
Well, what began as a bonnet repair using Peat Brown from ESM and just not even resembling the existing paint, it has now turned into a full outer body re-spray, the rear wings were crust on the lower rim and the right side is not even saveable, not to mention the beading had been painted by a previous owner.
Anyway I soaked what I thought may be the wing bolts on wd40 last night, got them off quite easy with only trouble from 1 nut in total and no castle nuts which tells me previous owner had trouble there or they were broken during the whats turning out to be a botchy rebuild 6/7 years ago but thats another story.
After much wire brushing I did indeed find some 2ba studs that also came off easily.
Many thanks chaps
My spray job is now complete bar the flattening and compounding.
