Will rover 400 and 600 front seats fit in a minor

Hi, I have been offered some nice blue lewather seats from a rover 600. Would they fit a two door?

Are you able to measure them? I have Rover 200 seats in mine and can make a comparison.

Your title asks if Rover 400 & 600 seats will fit but these are different seats. 200 & 400 are the same seats except the 400 seats don't tip so getting in the back is impossible (and illegal) if you have a 2 door Minor. 600 seats will only tip if they are out of the Coupe version otherwise these are no no's for your 2 door also. The size may also be prohibitive but going back to the original question - for a 2 door Minor - you really need 200 seats or the older Metro ones. Subframes will also be required to be made (or bought) as the floor is not flat and therefore the seats cannot be bolted straight down with modification....

So for a two door car, the front seats must be able to tip up to allow passengers in the rear, or they are illegal? I thought the saab 9000 seats didn't really tip up? :s

Couldn't tell you what Saab 9000 seats are like but I can see the sense in your passengers been able to get in and out - esp if getting out is after a crash with the car on fire ?

I guess you could always remove the rear seats then it wouldn't matter.....

are you sure about the front seats giving access to the back seats? I seem to recall one of the abarth (strada I think) with standard seats did not have easy access to the back seats..
