speedo troubles
freshly painted 1275cc anda very loud big bore exhaust
Re: speedo troubles
Sppedo wobble is usually caused when the cogs inside the speedo dry up - A dribble of 3in1 oil can help. Wobble can also be caused by a kincked or damaged cable. As your mile reading has now given up I suspect that the cogs dried up and the teeth have now stripped so it is time to source another speedo. There were never any speedos for 175 tyres so I would look for one around 1350 tpm to get the best reading and compare it to a satnav to be 100% sure....

Re: speedo troubles
i am just sorting this out myself, have never heard ticking and speedo wobble before but it's started now. i am going to oil up these cogs, 3 in 1 ok, or lm grease better?
Re: speedo troubles
Grease WILL NOT work - This is a clock mechanism not a wheel bearing !!!!!!!
