so the story goes! i was moving my morris the other day whilst sanding it on the road when i noticed a strong smell of petrol and the fuel pump ticking. i found that the bonnet was ajar and my fuel hose had been disconnected? the jubalee clip had been chewed up
i live in a quite road and wondered if anyone would know why someone would do this?

Surely they would just take the pipe of the petrol tank? Or could it be a lazy criminal using the fuel pump

Re: has someone tried to nick my morris?
Or just put a screwdriver through the petrol tank? - that's what they were doing round our way a while back

Did you leave your keys in the ignition switch so that a would be thief could turn on the ignition/fuel pump and wouldn't you have heard someone pop the bonnet as presumably if you were sanding the car you weren't far away?

In your own interest may I suggest that you change the lock on your door so it does lock - not expensive to buy another barrell for it and make sure you don't leave any tools that could be "useful" to a thief lying around. We don't want to lose any more cars do we?
