'65 Split Screen Traveller?!

Post by Dryad »

Saw this on eBay; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1965-Morris-Trave ... 27b2b0f164

Makes you wonder how it ended up with a '65 plate. :-?

Josh is right!

The windscreen aperture uprights are too 'thin'. Splitscreens have much thicker ones.

Why would anyone do this ? A '65 car would have normal wipers - which won't work on that 'split screen' . It looks like the car only has one wiper fitted!

What a bizarre thing to do! Now I look closely I can see it too. A quick check on the DVLA site says it's been off the road since 1987 so it's obviously been dry stored. Looks like a solid car though, and the wood looks ok, but why is that section cleanly cut out of the N/S? They don't usually rot just there.
