First Rally Samaritan
I was on the M25 going to my first rally this Saturday (12th), the car was purring along nicely when....slow...slower...slower... stop went the car! I pulled over to the hard shoulder, lifted the bonnet..no sign of trouble with hoses etc. just phoned the AA when a kind gentleman stopped his car on the busy highway and came to my assistance. Can I help he said..by all means have a go...are you a Minor owner...yes I've got a 63 he said, a scrape on the ground with the distributer rotor and a check on the coil...try that he said....broom broom said the car, off the gent went without another word...not that you could hardly hear yourself speak on the side of the M25!. What a samaritan and a good example of our Morris Minor camararderie. Many thanks dear gent if you read this.... Tony[frame]

Hmmmm - great that he stopped - but not sure that's a permanent 'fix'. Check the coil connections again very carefully - and tighten up the connectors if you can.

i had similar problems today my king lead was not a good fit so i fitted a new dizzy cap king lead and rotor arm car running well now it pulled up to 75 so im off on a 140 mile trip to norfolk tomorrow.its worth carring a few spares in the boot to get you out of trouble, rotor arms are favorate and a dizzy cap plus aa/rac card that was kind of him to stop .
