changeable part between models?

hey guys some more questions if you feel like answering, just about to weld some mounts on an escort diff housing and wanted to know are the series 2 diff the same width as the later model. anyone got a center measurement for axle perches for both models. so what i want to know is if i set this escort diff up the same as my series 2 diff can i use the diff on a later model.

Yes both types are the same width. As for spring mounts, the Minor has them at 40" centre to centre. The Escort is 38"

The 'diff' will not be interchangeable between Minor and Escort axles....... if that's what you are asking ???

thanks twincamman. sorry bm i probably didnt explain that very well. yeah im setting up an escort diff and was measuring from a series 2 diff and wasnt sure it would fit a later model morris minor. i decided my car was too rusty so i stripped and waiting to get something else,
