Minor Matters 1987

Post by stephenpolhill »

Hi there. On the way back from a day out with the family we popped into a local antiques fair and I came across an old Minor Matters from Jan/Feb 1987. I got them to sell it for £2 and have rather enjoyed it. Especially looking at how much my car would've cost then. The newest car a Ford Orion and most for sale Minors under £1000  .
I'm going to keep a look out for these from now on! Out of interest what is the earliest the magazine was published?
Thanks
Steve

In it's current form (A4) - 1982 - earlier in A5 format. I'm not certain when they started but we've got copies from 1981. :D

I used to have boxes upon boxes of issues that came with Mona. I think Rob.Hardy1 has them now so maybe he knows.

Did you notice many topics in the older mags that are in the current ones?

 Yeah - right! I always wear a wedding dress when selling Regalia! Perhaps I should dig it out - I might boost sales

It's interesting to see how they've changed from modern classics to a full blown desireful classic

Before the A5 booklet with the blue cover Minor Matters was just photocopied A4 sheets stapled in the top left hand corner. I've got some - from 1979 onwards - but not all of those. There were enough A5 magazines to make it worth having a special 'mini' binder done for them. Mine's in storage or I'd be able to give more precise dates. JC

Attention to Lou (Regaliaqueen)
Why not to reprint the old features and put in a book, and sold in regalia, may be will be a nice item for the Cristhmas time??
This is only a suggestion!

The Blue A5s were published from March 1980 to March 1982. I have A4 sheets going back to 1979, I will check whenI have time.
