12G787 Manifold

Post by jaguar68 »

Hi Chaps,

Is the 12G787 manifold suitable as a straight bolt on for the 1098cc engine or does it need to be modified in any way?

Regards

Number means nothing to me - can you post up a picture ? But any A series manifold will certainly fit any other A series head!

Straight swop in terms of basic shapebut takes a larger carb with different mountings (diagonally). Later Mini manifold.

The manifo0ld has the carb attached which I believe is an H4, or should be, as it's allegedly from a 998cc Mini

HS4 or HIF 38 if it's on the diagonal mounting studs. Much better carb (either of them) - should boost performance.

My mistake, it should be an HS4 carb, not an H4 as I stated previously. I'm using a 12G295 cylinder head running a 9.5:1 compression ratio, or will be when the engine is built :P
