There’s no such thing as an “Obnoxious Jack Russell”

. I said hello to a few dogs yesterday and I don’t mean ones with four wheels.
I had a nice trip down and joined some friends, so we drove down in a convoy containing two MGBs, my V8 version and a Lotus Elan Sprint. A Spitfire and TR7 tagged along at Newbridge, whilst another MGB and a Morgan appeared nearer Newport. As we were early, we had a fairly quick passage into Tredegar House but I don’t mind a brief wait in a queue of classic cars

.
The day itself was very enjoyable. It’s 25 years since my first Tredegar Park and my first when I didn’t take the Midget (I wasn’t very old when I went to my first event and neither was the Midget, which was a sort of premature classic due to the closure of the MG factory in 1979). I never thought I’d see myself take a picture of a Datsun 120A but my grandfather’s penultimate car was a 1977 model and I haven’t seen one like it for years.
I saw a very nice 1960 Minor four door saloon (Not in the MMOC enclosure), which had original looking leather seats in very nice shape. Here is a picture of it.

The weather had to intervene as I was leaving

. It was a pity it hadn’t held off for another two hours but all in all a very enjoyable day. Sadly its now fifteen months to the next Tredegar Park
