Wire size?

Post by Ludwig »

Evening all!

I need to replace the white wire which feeds the live side of the coil (from the fuse on the bulkhead). Anyone know what size this is? It looks about 1-1.5mm2 but I thought is should check first!

Ta!

Errr - the white wire to the coil does NOT come from ' the fuse on the bulkhead' ! The coil and fuel pump are NOT fused. Check the wiring diagram at the head of the Electrical section. Any decent multi strand wire will be fine - it carries very little current.

Hello Ludwig,

as a matter of interest, there are companies such as Vehicle wiring Products or Holden Classic and Vintage that sell the correct coloured cable by the metre, with advice of the size for various applications. Halfords also sell short lengths of cable but not the range of colours that the specialists provide.
