Just out of interest - how does a 1950 ish lowlight get a 1972 registration? And how does it get an Austin badge on its bonnet?

if my caris finished for the local branch rally, (july 11th), i have made a bet with my friends that if england get to the final (july 11th), i will get some red plastic and apply a st georges flag across the whole car(the car is white). what have i let myself in for!

You might also notice that it a van! Built by myself as it says on my avatar First to last 1949 front 1971 rear. And she is one of the Austin badged variants built right towards the very end.
