Reproduction of classic parts

Ok guys, this is a bit of a weird one but bare with me. It's a bit of an entrepreneurial idea and I need some feedback from you guys. Basically doing radiacl things to Minors was huge in the 70's and 80's but much of the original tooling and moulds have been lost and I want to bring them back. These are things like the Willys flip front, extra wide arches and custom dashboard panels. I am aware that there are certain companies producing some items and this in no way to rivel them, just to produce something different and old skool.
Here are some pics to give you an idea of what I meen.

These are just a few ideas and any feedback, positive or negative, is a great help.

Hi Ben, competition is no bad thing .
Not too sure if the Willy's style front would sell, it was dying a death in the late 80's and has never really sold well. Pop Browns already do this panel anyway. Guage panel is a good idea, oversized rears are already done, no probs as I say with competition though..
I presume you are able to make bucks and molds yourself as these are very costly to have done. Although I hate to have to say it but do not rely on the response from this forum on which to base your future investments. Good will is great , but several ideas have been floated on here only to end in a whimper, when commitment is asked for.
Good luck though with the venture. Must say if it were me doing this I'd be looking forward rather than back on which to base my products.

I'm not into the Willy's front personally, but am all for panels like this being available. When I have the money I want a set of JLH oversize rear wings, but it would be great if there were other options for these kind of body mods so that people wanting to go down this route could have some variety and not make all customs look the same (though obviously serious customisers make the bits themselves).

I would love to see side pipe exhausts, arch flares for front and rear (like the Mini ones), high cut rear wings, alternative chin spoilers, and maybe even side skirts and a rear spoiler for that super chav look?! haha (not for me, but someone might be interested!)

In true Blue Peter style, here's some I made earlier

Grey one would be the same colour as your dashboard[frame][/frame]

Wooden for the Trav[frame][/frame]

These are just examples and I have got a couple more on the go like a polished aluminium panel and another wooden one but to hold a rev counter as well as the oil, water ect.

i do like the dash panels but i dont like the way they are raised up, why not do what i did and sit it on the lip just a thought

Thanks hotrodder, I do have some that sit flush with the panel in both aluminium and wood.

If you look just in front of the nearside rear wheel............

And no Jon - the W drums certainly don't need any cooling ducts - not crummy discs you are dealing with here! The problem with these drums is getting them hot enough so they work nicely without grabbing!!

Yes - it unfortunately was the heavy 4 door model....... The boot full of spares didn't help either........
Dampers were already uprated at that time! It did however disgrace itself later that day by breaking a half shaft - which fortunately wedged the diff and I was able to drive it home!

Saloon bootlid without a recess?

or maybe fibreglass front wings with fillets the bottom so you can run without a front bumper without it looking strange?

Bootlid already available, front wings I'd imagine will be along soon.

Or an oversized one to allow for larger carrying capacity, or high level brake light.
