What's left of a demister when the foam part falls away
A copy of the owner's manual. (The original is too dear)

Right side is filled with rev counter, oil and water gauges.

Left is things like bulbs, wiper blades etc (Handbook is in a pocket on the back of the Newton Commercial front seat) and I did have a copy of the highway code. However during the Winter, I opened the glovebox and found a mouse nest (Albeit vacant) and part of it was made of Highway Code. With the weather having been so bad, the car hardly left the garage, although I used to start it every two weeks.

Spare rotor arm, points & condensor
Spare green lens off the indicator stalk
Spare horn push button
Various screws & nuts
Phillips & straight end screw drivers
Small spanner
Pliers
Pair of nail scissors
Various rally entry cards
Some old tax discs
A pack of Jack Brabham care cards
Owners handbook
Duster
Pen
String backed driving gloves
Two Werthers Originals toffees (dusty)

The lid just about shuts and everything falls out if I open it so I think I need a clear out :D Nothing in the drivers side.

From memory, not having driven 'becca for a while (and the glovebox now being filled with instruments, and the instrument cluster being filled with glove box...)

It had
- Spare glass fuses
- Spare indicator / brake bulbs
- Screwdriver
- AA Book of the Road
- Owner's Manual
- Selection of A to Z maps
- Box of screws (wood screws, dating from our trip to pride, which I never removed).
- Random used parking pay-and-display tickets
- Some very old and chewed tapes...

There was more cruft in there, but I can't recall what it was... I think there was a car radio cassette adaptor too.

Passenger side:
Pile of business card / leaflet things - just in case.
Pair of flying goggles...
Insurance certificate and MOT from last time I taxed it.
Pair of 1300 Deluxe badges. No I've no idea why either.
Quite a few rally plaques and windscreen passes from long past events. (Plaques make good ice scrapers in winter whilst reminding you of summer rallies!).
Pair of head phones left over from the radio packs used in the 2002 Commonwealth Games closing ceremony. (Yes its probably overdue a clearout).
Bits of wire, nuts and bolts and random screws etc.
Various leaflets picked up at shows.
Pay and display parking tickets from Ludlow, Stourport, Kidderminster and Dudley.

If you bundle it all up and shove it in hard, before quickly slamming the lid it can all be contained...
Drivers side. Hasn't got one - being an earlier Series 2. Good job really as that would be full too.
cheers
Iain
