dished washer - master cylinder

Post by dorsetpickup »

hi - just rebuilding my master cylinder from an assortment of bits in a box (my pick up was a part finished resto)... two bare master cylinders, four pistons, three springs and various other unknown items...

Anyway from this i have cobbled togetehr enough servicable components plus a recently purchased seals rerpair kit to get a usuable unit, BUT i can not find anything resembling a 'dished washer'. Looking at some old posts it seems it may be a copper cup shaped item.

Presumably substituting it with something else is not wise, but none of the retailers see to list it. Anyone have any ideas where i can get hold of one please?

I would be inclined to just buy a new master cylinder...

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.
