Door pillar trim 1963 4 door

Post by wells01 »

Hi
I have a 1963 4 door with a duo-tone interior but I am at a loss as to what should be on the door pillar between the two doors. A present there are the remains for some rather scruffy cream vinyl type fabric which matches the edge of the parcel shelf. Is this standard? Can i be bought cut to size or on a roll? Ive been through the parts book but cant find the part number! Does anyone have a picture of this part of the interior or any info on the fabric or part numbers.
Any help would be great.
Regards

I think they are hardboard panels covered in cream fabric (like on the parcel shelf)
IIRC newton commercial do them but they are ££!

When I bought my complete interior from NC it didn't have these trims just a length of vinyl to cover them yourself. The backs on mine were made of thin plywood. they were easy to cover just use spray glue on the back and stretch the vinyl round.

The vinyl is available from any coachtrimmers in a variety of colours.

Hi
Thanks for your reply. That is good advice. I will see if I can source some new vinyl and go down the spray glue route.
Many thanks
