Work ? Oh yes - I remember that........ grim grim grim. Seems odd you can't book a day off when you need it - especially on a sunday??

Re: gutting!
I am the same. I work a Sunday aswell. I have to plan what I can go to on Sundays when shows/rallies take place. My boss is very understanding but I have pushed my limits with her as two years ago I attended 35 out of 38 shows.

Re: gutting!
I recently changed jobs and have to work weekends and it has severeley affected my ability to attend shows. Today, drive it day, i shall be driving to work in my Morris to mark the occasion.
I know loads of people drive theirs daily but its not usual for me so it will be special.
Work eh? what a b*tch!!

Re: gutting!
It's raining for the first time in weeks here. A bit annoying because I'd planned to spend the morning doing some pre-MOT jobs on Lintilla (and the garage is currently full of non-car stuff).

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

It did the same here last nightalex_holden wrote:It's raining for the first time in weeks here.

I got the car all clean and shiny ready for the South Wales Run, I thought "lovely day, not need for the car cover" woke up this morning and the car is soaking wet

It's one thing having a job that means working week-ends, quite another to have it suddenly 'sprung' on you ! Main reason I decided not to pursue a career in the Church.......
