Hi,
I have a 69' saloon and i have changed my loom on the car and now can't get the heater to work??
The wipers work fine as i believe the power goes through the same control box within the heater??
I noticed yesterday that the black wire from the motor was unpluged and looked at the wiring diagram and it seems its the earth. It says its an earth that connects to the body. The cable has a bullet connector and i can't see where it would connect to. I touched the connector to the body of the car and still nothing.
Any ideas? Is there a specific place this wire is supose to connect to or just a general earth?
Thanks
Rich

Black is always earth - there should be a matching connector with an earth tag on the end for the heater earth to go into. Is there power at the feed wire to the heater??

I had a little look but could see a conector to connect it to.
I am assuming so as the wire for the wiper switch also goes into the heater and the wiper works fine.
I will have to put a metre across it though just to double check i think.

Somewhere lurking in the depths of the wiring behind the glove box and speedo should be a length of wire with the black tube which fits the bullet connector
