I need a few new wheel bolts for the MM. The correct ones for the car have a head that is 5/8" across flats and what looks like a 7/16"UNF thread - but can anyone confirm? An example of the other type of nut (i.e. wrong for my car) that I have has a larger hexagon head if this helps.

Re: What wheel bolts have I got..?
The lowlight MMs, up to about 130000 had BSF treaded bolts with 5/8 A/F heads, possibly larger on very early cars. The later UNF bolts also had 5/8 A/F heads. Early S11s had 3/8Whit heads, the same as the M1000. Andrew Stone was looking into large headed bolts. Graham discusses the subject under Tech Info

Contact Andrew Stone and find out what he is doing, there is no point in both doing the same thing. I would expect that there is also a demand from other MM/S11 owners. The larger the batch produced, the lower the unit cost.

Will do. I've had quite a game finding some off the shelf - best I've managed is some second hand ones at Bath.
