hi gentleman and ladies....
i have recently purchased an alternator conversion kit from ESM spares. well chuffed with the service they provide. anyway, the wiring diagram they supply isn't as 'in depth' as i'd like. i've searched for a better diagram, but haven't been successful.
i have a lucas 18ACR / LRA100 kit. the wiring comes with 3 wires. i can see that 2 brown wires (1 thick, i thin) will go straight onto the positive terminal. there's then a brown/yellow wire. not sure where this would go and what else i do from there on.
is it possible for someone to give me an idiots guide as to what goes where with the voltage box etc? maybe a diagram?
thanks. alan.

Re: alternator conversion
is that a case of swapping the batt terminals and coil wires?kittyfell wrote:Before you do anything else - make sure your car is negative earth.

And cleaning or renewing the ignition points and the fuel pump points. We can't see the 'secret' message from Mick( why so secret ? Share it with us all) but here is the simple diagram.[frame]

Note that the light BLUE cable in the diagram (your brown/yellow) is simply joined to the small wire that was connected to the D terminal, but not now at the D terminal of course. Your two brown wires are shown RED in this diagram, and are simply connected to the +ve terminal of the starter solenoid (or pull switch).
