a warning to any 1st time buyers!

Post by patricklambert »

well as you know iv got my 1st mog i got a bit more than i expected as it had the rust very well hidden under everything from filler, chickenwire and even expanding foam! so just beware as i CAN FIX this as im not to bad at welding and shaping metal. so please be carful especially if you cant weld as i expect all this damage will cost a serious ammount of££££ to fix in a garage!

Yep good old expanding foam. The sills in my pickup were made of this although the bloke came clean and told me about it.

The saloon that I had that cought fire a few years back had had all sorts of biscuit tin riveted to it and filled over. after the fire all the bodges were easy to see!

We stripped the carpets out of mine and had a similar story, bad isn't it! Consequently I've spent the Easter holiday welding.
