The problem with the colour coding is that it makes it difficult to read some of the details. Why not just use headings for each year? That way it will be easier to identify the ‘birthdays’ and also cut down on the amount of typing you need to do eg:

1961

14th June - Sidney61’s 2 dr saloon (Sidney)

1962

1st Feb - Regaliaqueen’s 4 dr saloon (Bug)

27th Feb - Gareth’s 4 dr saloon (Phyllis)

13th June - Regaliaqueen’s traveller (Vikki)

Just a suggestion!

By the way, my 2 dr saloon (Ruby Tuesday) was built on 20th Feb 1968 and registered on 6th March :D

You can get a Heritage Certificate here: http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/ ... index.html

Not cheap but it will tell you the date your car was built, the specification such as trim & paint colour, the numbers for the gearbox and rear axle and door key, the date it left the factory, the destination (dealer), and whether it had any factory fitted extras. You could also visit Gaydon and try looking through their records.

I looked up my paperwork and found that my Traveller car was invoiced on 23 August 1971, at a total cost, including underseal, of £947.26. It was registered on Wednesday 1 September 1971.

That was quick from factory to road :o . I wonder whether as they were being dropped, there was a demand for them. You have to ask whether they would have gone on selling and for how long there would have been a demand for them?
