speedo help needed
i have a 61 2 door with a gold face speedo which is'nt working !,Or should i say the speedo it's self is, as i have tried putting the drill on it (backwards as recomended from previous threads) and it workes fine,I then drove down the road with it disconected to see if cable was rotating,It was'nt,So purchased new cable from esm which i have fitted today, but with no luck,What do i do now ? Itake it,it's a problem at the gearbox end? Can it be fixed ? HELP !!

Re: speedo help needed
Assuming the cable is correctly connected, and engaged in the square drive in the gearbox, then the fault must lie in that drive. You can extract it and see if there is any obvious damage to the Pinion. Item #78 on page FF 6 of the Manual.
