90 amp is probably 'just about' good enough. Gasless is handy if working outdoors but expensive for the special wire, but then you don't need to buy any expensive gas. If the price is right........

I've used one to replace sills etc. I've even used it to re-weld the clutch pedal onto its shaft when the original weld broke and that was one of the rare occasions I used the maximum power setting. My one can be set up to use gas but I've never bothered as I'm always welding outside anyway.

Is the one in B&Q a reputable make?

90 amp should be enough, but really, you will me much better off spending a bit more on a better (say 150amp) welder and use normal mig wire and gas. Your welds will be much neater and you will have a much easier time of it.

Using "gasless" you might not be able to crank it low enough to weld the thinner body sheet metal.

they also produce abit of fumes,Which I find difficult to see through and probably, like everything else ,not very good for you,but can be used outside on a windy day when gas migs can't so you win some you loose some,as already said buy the best you can afford,it pays in the long run
