Depends what car it's for - a Minor doesn't have a Panhard rod - although it could probably do with one ! It's a bar mounted across the car - as long as possible - one end fitted to the axle and the other to the chassis, possibly via 'rubber bushes' to allow some compliance although Rose Joints would be better on a track car. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panhard_rod As Wiki says - the Watts linkage is a rather better idea.

Well - it probably has a failed bush ok - but it's NOT on a Panhard Rod! It's not something that is EVER fitted at the front of a car anyway. The bush(es) will be in the eyebolt where the lower suspension arm attaches to the chassis leg. Items 45 on page K 2 of the Workshop Manual. Easy and cheap to change - so well done if that's all it failed on!

Tourers were produced from 1948 to 1951 and had removeable rear sidescreens. Convertibles were produced from 1951 onwards and had fixed rear side windows
