Acquired 2010. Garage find, 2 registered keepers, only ever driven by one. Paid £450.

Condition okaaaayyy!
Bit mucky, been locked in a garage for a good few years, needs passenger floor welding and some TLC for the collapsed passenger seat (I think a rather large person held residence in it.)
Sunday 21st March:
Cleaned her. I used Cif, Sugar Soap, Cold Water, a Hosepipe, a Sponge and... a toothbrush. The aim was to take off the top layer of grimy faded ground in dirty paint.

I got right in under the stripe and the hinges, all around her badge and grille and even in that terribly hard to get at nook in the guttering (where it meets the stripe) behind the back doors... so much mould. You can see her bubbles now... I'll get a better photo on Thursday, provided the sun stays out! That photograph was taken about 8am this morning and the clouds were out in force.
I think she's Snowberry White. Her dashboard has been brush-painted. Does this indicate a replacement has been made?
Friday 26th March:
DVLA papers came through! 2 Owners confirmed, everything else is in order, she was born on 03/02/1970. Dad now has the welder in the garden and is currently fixing holes in landrovers.

Tuesday 30th March:
Slight worry that she won't be ready for when I pass my test (being optimistic here!). Easter break coming up, will get on dad's back then about her welding. Leaning towards naming her Rose, but that's the name of the fictional girl in my boyfriend's tattoo (I know, I know.) What a dilemma!
Monday 5th April:
Visited the Coleford Transport festival - saw a few moggies, took some photos. Didn't have a chance to chat to any owners though, sadly! They were all very well maintained, and I got myself a "P. OLYSLAGER MOTOR MANUAL" for "All models from 1956" for £2! Bargain. ttp://tinypic.com/a/1yss1/3 < pictures of the moggies.
-went camping, had no contact with anything moggy related D:-
Wednesday 7th April:
Dad has started her welding, unfortunately I can't be there, as today I'm at my mother's. He's also informed me that her MOT is booked for Friday afternoon! So his welding is now against the clock - whatever he can't get done will go onto the list the MOT centre give us back.
In other news, my Driving Test is on Monday... I'm very excited!
Pondering naming her Success.
Thursday 8th April:

Friday 8th April:
MOT delayed, however it was replaced with a trip to Charles Ware's! I counted 20 shining moggies and 4 in need of a spit n' shine there at the moment, all looking very well loved. Signed myself up for a 10% discount, and Dad decided we'd go all out and get proper new sill panels instead of her running on patchwork. Must say he has very good prices and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Probably sent about half an hour in there chatting about hot rods to the parts man.
As soon as we got home dad finished up the driver's side, which I promptly painted in ANTI RUST (hooray!) and coated with chip-protector. She now has a black patch in all her lovely white paintwork.
Passenger side has much less work to do, which he says will be done by Monday afternoon - stepmother is taking him to a hillclimb on the weekend to hopefully relax him a little... dad hates welding with a passion, and especially fiddly moggie welding.
Feeling very confident about my driving test, and I now have my payment for insurance sorted!
Poor old girl held up with odds and ends, she's pretty secure though - we tried wobbling her!

Oooh, rustproofing!

Dad'll kill me for the last one!
Sunday 25th April:
Sorry for the long gap! I didn't pass my driving test, sadly. She wasn't ready anyway! Attended the Tintern portion of the Wye Valley Run today, will get pictures up soon.
As for XTX, she is now having the welding on her passenger side finished up. We had a spot of bother with ol' Charlie Ware's brake fittings. Dad grumbled about banjos and lines all day, they didn't seal or screw up tight enough to seal. Had to get on the phone to the parts department and have a set taken off one of the Moggies they had down there.
Gave her hubcaps to a friend with a buffing machine - he owes me some money, so I said if he buffed those up it didn't matter.
Pictures of her progress on Wednesday!
