You can do most of the re-aligning with addition of washers - however if you are a 'perfectionist' - you will want to shave a little off either the pedestals or the rockers to get the alignment just right! But really - for the use you will be making of the engine - washers will be fine. However - you may find on investigation that the rockers shaft is worn - and so be prepared to get a new shaft if that is the case. The rocker bushes rarely wear to any great significance.

That's good news :) I think a new shaft is only about £20.00. I can probably stretch to that, I will stick with the pressed steel rockers then.
