a couple of morris related questions

firstly i was thinking of getting some of that whitewall tyre paint is this any good? i dont have the money to pay for tyres so wondered if the paint is a good alternative
and secondly has anyone got a cherry bomb fitted ( the tail box) and does it get on your nerves as im tempted to fit one!

i dont like the look of a tail box on a minor just dosent look right, im just putting a mid box on my new Exhaust.

I've got an old car with a set of whitewalls that are beginning to look a bit tired, but at well over a thousand quid for four whitwalls, but "only" £350 for ordinary tyres I'm not too inclined to replace them: so I read up some views on tyre paint. The feel I got was that it was OK for brightening up existing whitewalls, but liable to show through browny-yellow if you put it on ordinary tyres, particularly newish ones. Yours might not be new now, but I expect you'll soon need new ones, and then you'll face the problem. You also need to be exceedingly careful applying it, and even tyre paint isn't cheap if you're trying to run the car on a budget.

As for daft exhausts: why??? Why do something just to annoy other people as you drive past them? How did your insurance company view the list of other mods that I suggested you should advise them of, and what conclusions might they reach when you tell them about modifying the exhaust?

Pat: don't do it - your mog has a lovely enough sound as it is. My boyfriend put a cherry bomb on his mini and it made very little difference. IMHO, the mog sounds nicer standard than it does cherry bombed. ;D
Whitewall-wise, i'd go for inserts - cheaper than tyres, more hardwaring and less yellow than paint. I'll see if I can find a link and MSN it to you.
