My heater valve stays open all year round and I just turn the heater off inside the car if I don't want heat - Simples !! Much discussion on here previously about plumbing the water through the manifold but if it was good enough for the MG Metro then I'm sure its good enough for my Moggie

I originally ran without the manifold plumbed in on mine. when I finally connected it, It made a notable improvement to running in cold weather with less use of the choke on warm up etc

Hi Patrick. Just an update I have had a reply from Police Car UK and they seem to think that it's a Panda that was used in the MET.
Good luck with it on Friday. If you do decide to restore it back to police livery you won't regret it. They are SO MUCH FUN.
