Yes checked it out with a meter, wobling it looking for breaks, all ok

Dimantled distributor and cleaned and oiled, bob weights are ok, One thought is i dont use it much in winter so the petrol is probably 6 months old, just seen some threads that say fuel can go off, so i suppose I should get some fresh petrol.

Ok my problem is fixed, it caused me stress, do we not all get stressed at times , but it was not the compression or the valve gaps it was a build up of factors.
