Irish Registration year letters ?

Post by iandromiskin »

Does anyone know the letter code for Irish classic cars denoting the year of registration (not the county code - the year) ? For example my car is ENI - I know the NI part means that the car was registered in Co. Wicklow, and I know from reference that the E prefix means the car was registered in 1962, but does anyone have a list of the other letters and their corresponding years or know where I could look :-?
Gertie, 1962 Saloon, Milly, 1969 Traveller (ex APL 971H) and now KAS 1958 4 Door Saloon.

If you go to the Series MM website, Car Register List, there is a list of Series MMs including some Irish cars. This may provide some information. Also Car Identification, Registration Authorities also lists Irish registrations including age related plates.
