batteries need to be tested with a discharge tester
a battery can hold up to the voltage but still not enough power to start
as a matter of interest can u start it on the starting handle

i would think either battery or dynamo

It is not unknown for a battery to collapse inside, working one minute and then nothing. I would suggest buying a new battery and then a dash for Brooklands.

Well that's my Brooklands Day trip skuppered, got to the M25 from the A249, police road block as there had been two accidents on the motorway.
Disappointed or what, or is this what the rest of the year is going to be like. If anyone has any photo's to publish on here that would be great.

Hope to meet you all soon at some other venue.

Peter

Hi Peter

Sorry to sound harsh but YES if you give up like that. Why not find another route around the blockage - accidents happen.

Better luck next time

Yes there are other routes, but by the time it would have taken me to get there it would'nt have been worth going.

It was a great day and a wonderful selection of cars. An excellent start to the calender, although i must confess i didn't attend in a Minor as i only have the pick up on the road and there were 5 of us...... Not enough seats by a long shot!![frame]Image[/frame]
