Re: parts ht leads
You buy HT cable by the metre (or by the roll in RS Components) - then you need ends to fit the spark plug. Probably best to try a Motor Cycle place - they do good 'waterproof' caps for the plugs.

Re: parts ht leads
The side entry cap does not need any connector on the end of the cable. Inside the cap, each terminal has a small screw. When loosened, the clean cut cable then pushes into the hole in the side of the cap. The terminal screw is then tightened so that it pierces the cable insulation and connects with the conductor. At the other end, you need a connector for the spark plug. Over the years there were various sorts, some borrowed form other equipment. You can look here: http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/V ... minals.php
If you want total originality then fit the plain metal connectors. More practical is the rubber or plastic cap that screws into the HT cable. You could buy a set of standard copper cored leads from any Minor trader and just cut off the later type of connector at the cap end, or make your own leads from components purchased separately.
