Re: halogen headlight conversion
I did this using the Bull Motif kit below
http://www.morrisminorspares.net/shop_item.php?ID=3741
and it was dead easy to do. They are properly bright now, but I must confess I don't really like the flatter profile of the lights - they look sort of modern somehow. Much better at night though.

Re: halogen headlight conversion
Check the make of light. The best ones for the price are Wipac Quadoptics. They have a good beam pattern and plastic bowls so do not rust. The price seems quite cheap, I would expect nearer £30 so check that the price includes the halogen bulbs.
Warning. Do not touch the bulb glass when fitting.
Pilot lights are side lights inside the headlight lens - used on Minis
A well worthwhile improvement to the car lighting

If you want some Roy.......
Here is a link http://www.minimania.com/web/Item/MMKT0 ... Detail.cfm
Not in Uk though but shows there still obtainable. They may of course dip the wrong way!!! AUs have been in use since the late 70s!! so a good investment.
