Re: Views on fibreglass wings and questions
" Yes, they are BM and will be available next year " - -FG bodyshells ?? From JLH ??

Re: Views on fibreglass wings and questions
We will be making them from either g/f or plastic which is 1/3 the weight of g/f and as strong. The shells will essentially be for our project racecars but will be adaptable for more standard use. They will only be a shell, thus requiring a full chassis.

Ahh - still - very interesting ! Do you plan to make a custom 'chassis' -or will it be the LCV chassis?

Curious now, What type of plastic and what process would you use to manufacture?jonathon wrote:We will be making them from either g/f or plastic which is 1/3 the weight of g/f and as strong. Re: Views on fibreglass wings and questions
The process is 'rotational moulding', heated booth, steel tooling. Cannot say too much as this topic came up during a resto conversation and was not fleshed out too much

Ooo. Will these shells be available for all models of Minor? An all fibre glass van (apart from the chassis of course) would be perfect for my future violin making business.jonathon wrote:We will be making them from either g/f or plastic which is 1/3 the weight of g/f and as strong. We will definately be doing the 2dr saloon, and possibly a pickup, the latter which can quite simply be converted to a van once we have the full sides produced.
