Hi All, Can anyone please tell me what is the difference visually between an ital and a marina engine ,apart from engine numbers .

The Ital A+ engine block has strenghthening ribs?

also the dizzy is held in by a Y fork for an ital and the normal morris minor clamp for the marina
the ital is a more robust engine and slightly more BHP

And the twin outlet exhaust Manifold (if still attached)

they both have the oil filter in the same position

Any improvement in power is down to carb and/or manifold - the head and camshaft didn't change!
