How much is this worth?

Post by winger300 »

Come december, i may be forced to part with my dear moggy.

Heres some pictures, i'd like to get an idea of the price i will get for it...

http://uk.msnusers.com/moggy/shoebox.msnw

It has original plates, new carpets & headlining, mechanically its pretty good, underbody is really good and hasn't had much welding. Paintwork is generally good, a few blemishes here and there. All the chrome is good, door handles are like new. Front & rear seats are original leather, i made cloth bases for the front since they were torn. All the door cards have been replaced, no tears in those, back seat is not torn at all.

I'd sell with a years MOT.

Thanks.

In December it will be harder to get a good price that in between easter and mid summer.
It's a nice loking car! Shame about the split front seat bases as all in all it looks great.
It sems a shame to sell it after all that effort on heads / carbs etc.. to make it drive how you wanted.

cluttering up their drive
:o
pesky parents!! I had 3 or 4 at my mum's house for a while (approx 7 years). She did start to drop hints eventually - especially about a year after I'd bought my own house!!

My Dad is 'minding' a convertible for someone who's living abroad for a few years. If you really don't want to sell, maybe you could consider asking if anyone from your local branch would look after it? My Dad just pays for petrol - any other bills (including insurance) is paid for by the owner.

I'd find someone to look after it.

I'm sure a local Moggie person would help you out. It looks in really good condition, and if you know you're returning then keep it!

Alternatively, where are you going? Any way you can export it for a few years?

im off to Ukraine, im not sure the car will cope with the harsh winters, added to the fact that the roads are horrendous, i dont think my poor moggy would last very long!

I know a few poeple who would like to have it, but they wouldn't be prepared to do all the maintenance jobs, and it would end up costing them loads at a garage. Don't suppose you want another Ray? your probably the closest to me in leamington.

winger300,
I'd certainly consider it, but it wouldn't get garaged... (too many other cars waiting for their turn). And that way I could have a nice shiny car to go to rallies in :-D and you'd have a car when you came back occasionally.

Are you looking for a home where it would be garaged?
