If its in your name its worth sending off a v888 form to the dvla, I think its a v888 anyway, and request the history of the car. There is a small fee but its well worth it to dig into a bit of history of your car. My minor 1000 was owned by my late grandfather in the 1970s and also my dad, I sent for the history of the car when I had bought it back 19 years later and it was fantastic to see the photocopies they sent me which included a copy of the old buff log book, and all subsequent log books issued to the car. They are just copies you receive because i believe all the old info was kept on microfische? Very interesting information to gain. It even enabled me to contact the son of the 1st keeper of the car who gave me some old slide pics to add to the collection. Good look with your restoration!!
