I can never get mine to flash at the correct speed dispite a new harness, bulb holder and switch.
Do I need LED bulbs? I ask because mine is positive earth which is ok for the relay, but I'm not sure about the LED's

Re: LED Flashers
LED's will only run neg earth. You shouldn't have a problem getting flashers to work correctly.. Time to start a new thread

Re: LED Flashers
Just ordered the no load relay. I'm thinking of using it to power a normal relay so I can stay positive earth but not add to much load on the new no load relay.
I can only try.

Re: LED Flashers
Well - the LEDs would have to be completely isolated from the body of the car - if it's positive earth and you are going to run the LEDs negative earth! Sounds like a whole load of unnecessary trouble to me!

How lucky you are? You mentioned that you used festoon lamps. All the ones I've seen are end-to-end symmetrical, so unless you were cannier than you're letting on, there was a 0.5 chance of getting each lamp the right way round, so only a 1 in 4 chance of getting them both right. But I bet the LED ones are marked + and -, so you did know, really.David53 wrote:Ummm...my car is original pos earth....and the flashers work fine.......Is there something I should know?
