MOH 7F

Post by rhunter »

This 1968 2 door green saloon I believe originated in Birmingham. Has anyone any details on its past life before it came to N. Ireland in 1995? All I know is that it was prepared by Charles Ware (Bristol) in 1995.
Thanks

Last known to DVLA on 1/12/95. Despite Ware's attention - should surely have been fit to be registered then - perhaps it went South? Or is in a Museum ??

If you are the current registered owner, for £5 you can fill out a V888 form:

http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg ... 065303.pdf

Under the heading what information do you want and why, I put. "I wish to contact previous owners to inform them of the cars restoration and to get some history on my car." I then got this huge A4 envelope sent with all previous correspondence anyone had made to DVLA on my moggy. All photo copies of course, copies of old V5's, addresses of previous owners, letters written to DVLA. Interesting to me, but a lot of rubbish according to my wife. :D

Hi Raymond!

Time to get that minor out on the club runs!! Easter Monday is the first proper outing.

Heres a link to our local site http://www.mmoc-ni.co.uk/index.htm

I dont know who had it in England but it was bought restored from Charles Wares by Bernard And Alison Brennan who lived in Bonnybefore in Carrickfergus to use as an everyday car. They then bought a traveller a few years later and sold the saloon, it changed hands a few times then bought by Dick Graham in Temple - is that who you got it from?

David

But not taxed since 1995 ? Could hardly have been an 'everyday' car!

The tax office here in Coleraine is independant from Swansea though they are supposed to be joining forces in the near future.

Thanks for all the advice. Will N.I tax office be able to 'activate' the V888 that was mentioned? Or will they only have N.I. registered history?

I would contact the N.I. tax office first and ask their advice. They may be able to give you a reference number for the vehicle which would tie in with DVLA.

That was taken at Castlewellan Country Park and it was wet.
